Description Kenneth Marcy 2011-07-19 03:05:37 CEST
Kernel version = 2.6.38.8-server-4.mga
Distribution=Mageia release 1 (Official) for i586
CPU=Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz

I just clicked on the Help|Help menu item and received exactly no response. Nothing. So, RPMdrake needs Help. Literally. The reason I was clicking on Help|Help in the first place was to find out exactly what the colors of the round dots in the status column represent -- especially the blue colored ones. I can guess that the red colors mean the system installed that package and it should not be removed, and the user installed the green colors, and they may be removed if no longer needed or desired. But what do the blue dots mean? I can guess that they mean that my machine has an older Mandriva version of a package Mageia could, or perhaps already has updated. But I don't know that for certain, and it would be nice to have a knowledgeable, authoritative explanation in the Help|Help file.

maybe it's related to bug 1016

As a temporary workaround for the icons issue, look at the icon file names in /usr/share/rpmdrake/icons/ .

Running rpmdrake from terminal I get this when selecting Help -> Help:
Can't locate ctxhelp.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/libDrakX /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.14.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.14.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.14.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.14.1 /usr/lib/perl5/5.14.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.14.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.14.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.14.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.12.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.14.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.14.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.3 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.2 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at /usr/bin/drakhelp line 12.
