Description Juan Luis Baptiste 2012-04-06 00:37:58 CEST
Description of problem:

Running opengl games like supertuxkart, urban terror, world of padman (at least any ioquake3 game) in full screen makes the screen to flicker, making it impossible to play.

This is my video card:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run any of those games and see the flickering.
Comment 1 Juan Luis Baptiste 2012-04-06 07:11:16 CEST
At least with ioquake3 games this happens with the default configuration, when you change it to use the same screen resolution as your desktop the flickering stops, but this doesn't happen with supertuxkart.

Can you please test if http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=234487 can save you?
Thanks.

My bad, I didn't remember I had the ATI card configured. I reconfigured with the Intel card and the issue persists. This is the driver version I have installed:

x11-driver-video-intel-2.19.0-1.mga2
libdrm_intel1-2.4.33-1.mga2

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja
