mga9-i586 core (not tainted) OK here on Thinkpad T43

Tested with kernel 6.6.58-desktop-1

Suspend-resume
Hibernate-resume

Normal desktop apps.
Even played a video in Firefox- found a rather small low bandwidth video...
this machine/system is not for modern videos.

All perfectly OK.

Installed core first, used the system a while, then installed tainted packages. No installation issues, and everything seems to work. Glmark2 score within a few points of 5100 for each.

BTW, if you want to get higher score in glmark2, you might try to run under gamesmoderun (installing the package gamesmode), e.g.:

gamesmoderun <application>

sometimes gives just a little boost (especially on intel and nvidia), sometimes huge (e.g. on Radeon 780M), and sometimes even negative (e.g. if you are running on batteries).

I'm not concerned about it, as long as I can do what I do - my day-to-day needs are modest.

I run it mostly to compare before and after an update, looking for a major change one way or the other as an indicator of something that might need your attention.

Interesting tweak.
(BTW, typo: there is no s in package nor command.)

MGA9-64 Plasma Wayland on HP-Pavillion
Installed Core stuff and rebooted, all looks well.
