So the linus kernel doesn't need the patches for CVE-2023-5090 and CVE-2023-34324, like kernel-6.4.16-5.mga9, right? And this report won't get assigned to QA before the report for kernel-6.4.16-5.mga9, correct?

No it requires the same fixes as of 6.4.16-5.mga9 excect the extra bug fix such as 32082, since kernel-linus was not affected. Thanks for spotting. You are right, I missed those two from package. We might close this bug as invalid, I'll push a new kernel-linus-6.4.16-6.mga9 (tomorrow) with those missed too. Sorry for the noise in this one.
No problem and thanks for the fast reply, Closing

(In reply to Marja Van Waes from comment #3) > No problem and thanks for the fast reply, > > Closing It can be reopened for kernel-linus-6.4.16-6.mga9, though. All that needs to be done then, is to update the summary, and tag comment 0, comment 1, comment 2, comment 3 and this comment 4 as obsolete. The first new comment can then serve as Description. I'm putting the last kernel-linus in updates in the SourceRPM field, because kernel-linus-6.4.16-6.mga9 is meant as update for that one.

@Giuseppe: Now that bug 32482 has been closed as WON'T FIX, what do we do with this one? Close it and open a new "companion" for the upcoming 6.5 series kernel, or push it as is and then open a new kernel-linus bug?
CC: (none) => andrewsfarm
Close it, and open a new one once kernel-linus-6.5.11(12) will be built.
Closing in favour of upcoming kernel-linus-6.5.11(12)
