mga9-64 working for me
- I have already been running it now and then last week.

HW: Intel i7-870, P55 chipset

GPU: GTX750Ti with nvidia drivers tested OK: both nvidia470 470.223.02-1, and newfeature 545.29.02.

SW: Plasma X11, Normal desktop apps

§ All normal desktop apps OK - will keep using this.

§ VirtualBox 7.0.10, tested with both mentioned Nvidia drivers, MSW7 guest OK: internet videos, dynamic guest window resizing, USB2 flashstick, host folder sharing, bidirectional clipboard, and drag file from Dolphin to Explorer (now worked directly - it sometimes is quirky)

§ suspend-resume OK (as opposed to 6.5 desktop kernel) with both mentioned Nvidia drivers

The advisory we can use the one prepared for the previous 6.4.16-6 that we skipped, updating the filelist, where was them?

The advisory from bug 32485 has been re-used for 32538.adv.
The links to the patches have been replaced with links to 12 kernel 6.5* Changelogs (6.5 to 6.5.11)

Kernel: 6.5.11-2.mga9 arch: x86_64
Intel model: NUC12WSBi7 mini-pc
12-core (4-mt/8-st) i7-1260P
Intel Alder Lake-P Integrated Graphics driver: i915
Intel Ethernet I225-V driver: igc
RAM 32 GB

Updated from linus 6.4.16-6.
Desktop working fine, external disks mounted, NFS shares available. Bluetooth connection to portable audio resumed OK. Firefox, falkon and thunderbird picked up where they left off. VirtualBox launched mga9 32-bit client OK. Logging out was slow though.

This looks safe to use. Leaving it running.

Kernel: 6.5.11-2.mga9 arch: x86_64
10-core Intel Core i9-7900X
NVIDIA GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] driver: nouveau
Intel Ethernet I219-V driver: e1000e

Update and reboot went smoothly. NFS shares in place. Bluetooth audio connection reestablished by right-click on the icon and then connect in the gui.
Watched short Youtube video in Falkon. Firefox and Thunderbird work. Used vlc to watch terrestrial TV and a local MP4 video. Networking OK - logged in to neighbouring machine via SSL. VirtualBox working after reinstalling dkms-virtualbox.

Test on real hardware Mageia 9 i586, I'll test a few more time to be sure, but works for the moment
Comment 10 katnatek 2023-11-22 23:15:27 CET
Enough test, I don't found nothing weird with this

Adding to comment 0:

Now also on that system have tested OK with nvidia-current-535.129.03-1 (dkms built module), and nouveau, and Xorg modesetting drivers.

The new newfeature 545.29.06 failed, previous newfeature 545.29.02 did not.
.06 works with desktop-5 kernel. Hmmm?

Comment 13 Morgan Leijström 2023-11-28 14:54:24 CET
Problem with nvidia in comment 12 was for a drakx11 bug, discussed at
 https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32565#c13 +

---

While testing on more systems would have been good, as we are low on resources and that is the way it is, i think we agree to validate this update?
