Description of problem: When setting the ntp server the following errors are written to /var/log/daemons/errors Oct 16 09:23:35 jackodesktop systemd[1]: [/etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables:18] Failed to add LSB Provides name firewall.service, ignoring: File exists Oct 16 09:23:35 jackodesktop systemd[1]: [/lib/systemd/system/single.service:26] Failed to parse kill mode, ignoring: process-group Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot using systemd 2. Right click the clock and open drakclock 3. Set the ntp time server 4. Dialog closes without error, but on re-opening it the ntpd check box is unchecked and the above error is logged.

btw just tested un cauldron and it works. Please test with drakclock started in a terminal and paste here the complete output.

Sorry Marja I missed the request. Re-opening and changing summary. In both systemd and sysvinit the ntpd service is now starting correctly in Cauldron on boot. The current problem is more to do with the GUI. In sysvinit the GUI displays the correct status i.e. the ntpd check box is checked and the correct time server is displayed - even after re-boot. In systemd if I set a particular server in the GUI, OK it and wait for it to close, then re-open the GUI - the ntpd checkbox is blank and the server selected earlier is not shown. Slightly OT:- The delay after OK-ing this dialog is too long to wait without a "please wait" sub-dialog BTW - most people would assume it had crashed.
