Description of problem: The welcome screen Mageia don't works after change the plasma global theme to Breeze dark. If I change to breeze dark, the welcome screen, it change to welcome plasma screen, and if I go back to breeze global theme, the welcome screen mageia no works, the welcome breeze screen don't have changed. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Welcome screen Mageia How reproducible: Change global theme to Breeze dark and reboot. Change global theme to Breeze an rebbot. The welcome screen remains plasma Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change global theme to breeze dark. 2. Reboot and change again global theme to breeze and reboot again. 3.The welcome screen remains plasma
I have not been able to reproduce this - but I did *not* re-boot between tests, simply logged out & back in. Perhaps Ctrl/Alt/Bksp/Bksp would have been better to re-start X. Theme changes done in Plasma System Settings-Global Theme. 1. Starting with the default Breeze theme, Mageia Welcome is OK (kill it). I am unsure now whether window title bars were dark or light. 2. Change to Breeze Dark theme. Mageia Welcome works OK, window title bar dark, otherwise normal. From here on (if not before) all window title bars are dark. 3. Logout/login to a Breeze Dark theme. I should say that the habitual Plasma startup splash screen changed to a different largely black one, with a motif. Firefox reflects the dark theme. Mageia Welcome is OK, with dark title bar. Change theme back to Breeze, but all title bars remain dark. Mageia Welcome works OK. 4. Logout/login to normal Breeze theme. Window title bars are still dark (perhaps they always were), but Mageia Welcome works OK. So, Jose, can you please clarify what you mean by " Welcome screen Mageia no works" [does not work, understood] and "The welcome screen remains plasma". It would help if you attach to this bug a screenshot illustrating your Step 3.

I mean the screen right after login. If I switch to dark Breeze, the screen after login is Plasma with an animation. But if I put Brisa back on, Mageia's screen doesn't appear. In the preferences section "welcome screen" I can not select the one of Mageia.
Thank you for the first clarification. I see the same: after having chosen Breeze Dark theme, it changes the transition screen between the display manager and Plasma desktop from the normal fancy Plasma one to a dark grey screen with a white logo in the middle. This persists even if you change back from Breeze Dark to the straight Breeze theme. What 'preferences' section welcome screen? --- @Aurelien re comment 2. I think the first point of this bug (above) *is* a duplicate of bug 26980; thanks for pointing it out. Please mark it as such if you agree - and set this bug title to something clearer a similar. But we still need clarification of the second point about Welcome & Mageia.
The welcome screen is selected in the "Start and Off" section in the Plasma Kde preferences. Greetings!
HA! Catch it: this is not related to MageiaWelcome but the splash screen when Plasma starts. Mageia branding for Ksplash can't be selected back after a theme change. This is **really** a duplicate of 26980. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 26980 ***
