Description of problem: I think we need to backport the android-tools version from Cauldron to Mageia 7 because when I connect my phone using the standard USB cable that came with it and boot into TWRP I can't get adb to see my device. [kristoffer@localhost ~]$ adb devices List of devices attached I checked with lspci and the phone isn't recognized either which is odd since if I boot the same device to the running system and then run adb devices the device is seen when I run adb device. I have switched USB slot as well to see if that makes a difference.
This applies to android-tools-8.0.0_r4-3.mga7.

Are you saying that if you connect the phone before booting Mageia, it is not seen; but if you boot Mageia then connect the phone, it is? Excuse my ignorance of these things. According to our current backports policy: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Backports_policy - Package maintainers are under no obligation to provide backports for the packages they maintain (whereas a maintainer should provide updates to the stable releases for packages he/she maintains). - Another packager can step in and provide backports provided he contacts maintainer about this. He must then keep the maintainer informed when working on it. - The maintainer can refuse that some packages be backported. If hard conflicts arise (eg. the maintainer vs all other packagers), we can refer to the council. - Packager (maintainer or not) who will submit backport will also have to provide security and bug updates if necessary. Mageia 7 is EOL since July 1st 2021. There will not have any further bugfix for this release. You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible. @reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it. @packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead. This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021.
