What method of upgrading did you use. mgaonline? the applet? Maybe bug 2317 affects this?

Comment 2 Deyan Damyanov 2011-09-05 11:17:57 CEST
I have installed the mgaonline package, changed the repositories to Mageias' and than tried using the update wizard AND the urpmi method and they both returned exactly the same error.
Comment 3 AL13N 2011-09-05 22:39:17 CEST
did you use --update in the urpmi method?
Comment 4 Deyan Damyanov 2011-09-06 16:10:58 CEST
I have used "urpmi --replacefiles --auto-update --auto" as suggested on the official tutorial.
Comment 5 claire robinson 2011-09-13 16:26:34 CEST
This sounds like my experience too in bug 1600 - I used the DVD to upgrade.

Re: Unsuccessful Mandriva 2010.2 to Mageia 1 migration

Postby stormi » Sep 14th, '11, 23:37
I think I found the cause : some packages, including python-numpy, have been updated in Mandriva 2010.2, and now Mageia 1 has a lower version than Mandriva 2010.2. This can cause an upgrade failure !

We'll try to have that fixed as soon as possible.

python-numpy is in update since the 18/09 (see bug 2752)

So, problem resolved until next time Mandriva updates python-numpy faster than we do.
