Description ian trump 2018-01-09 00:35:34 CET
Description of problem:

Mageia updated kernel in mageia 6 from 4.9.56 to 4.14.10.When upgrade was complete and system rebooted for new kernel my Billion BiPAC 3010A USB Wireless Adapter WiFi Dongle AC did not work.

On investigation in the hardware of the control center the adapter is now under the scanner heading. It would appear that the dongle is incorrectly recognised and so the correct module can not be loaded.

I have gone back to the previous kernel and now the adapter is now configured properly under the Ethernet card heading and is once again working.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):mageia 6 kernel 4.14.10

" I shall stop using mageia 7 and revert back to mageia 6.1 as everything works as it should."

Meaning this problem prevails in mga7?
- If so, I suggest to reopen for mga7, or make a new bug.
