Please add Cinerella-CV 2.1.5 or/and Cinelerra 4.2 from HeroineVirtual (HV). If needed, I am ready for testing. http://cinelerra.org/getting_cinelerra.php http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php#download Reason: Kdenlive in FullHD still very very very slow.
Have you tried using proxy clips in kdenlive? Proxy clips are lower resolution video clips used in place of the full resolution originals during editing. The process is transparent to the user. If your hardware is marginal for video processing, then using proxy clips will make a huge difference to the project monitor preview speed (no stuttering, pauses etc.) There is a loss of quality during editing and time line playback but this does not affect the final rendered project. Note that enabling proxy clips on an existing project will cause massive processor use for a while as ffmpeg builds the proxy clips, so be ready to expect this. To enable proxy clips go to Project -> Project Settings and check the "Proxy clips" check box. I hope that helps - kdenlive is an incredible application. :)

I am sorry, but in my case it's doing nothing better. Maybe I doing something wrong? Video after that was slower. Problems are in cut places and if I put marker in new place, then I must wait 5-10 seconds, before I can start play video. Computer is i7 based 6GB RAM
I do not fully understand the problem you are describing - however this is not the place to continue with a kdenlive issue. I recommend that you file a bug at:- http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/bug_report_page.php kdenlive is under continual development and you may find it worthwhile to build the latest version. There is a build script here:- http://www.mltframework.org/twiki/bin/view/MLT/BuildScripts# If you need help with this then there is a forum topic here:- http://kdenlive.org/forum/build-script-instructions-new There is also a freenode IRC channel #kdenlive.
I support the request for cinelerra - while not necessarily intuitive, it still is superior in doing accurate cuts working with multiple tracks.

I took a look at this and AFAICT this cannot be built in a crippled version without faac, so it's non-starter at the moment. https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2833 I suggest keeping this bug open for the future.

Setting version to cauldron to improve the chance that someone will package it, but also because, if the faac issue gets solved, it'll be for Mga 2 first
