Description of problem: Install M6 from classical iso. The sddm is installed and configured to be used after reboot. But after reboot it shows the installed sessions only partially: in my case the end of the list is below the edge of the screen, so they can be scrolled to and entered but only show up afterwards, because those are invisible. Moreover the login GUI cannot be moved upward, so the end is always invisible here.

Moreover, if xfce4 is selected as DE during install it does not appear in the sddm session box: not visible and not invisible (I tried all available to get it to show)
this is about the classical QA iso of 11/3 (In reply to Dick Gevers from comment #0) > Description of problem: > > Install M6 from classical iso. > > The sddm is installed and configured to be used after reboot. > > But after reboot it shows the installed sessions only partially: in my case > the end of the list is below the edge of the screen, so they can be scrolled > to and entered but only show up afterwards, because those are invisible. > > Moreover the login GUI cannot be moved upward, so the end is always > invisible here. do you care to attach one or more screenshots or pictures? I cant make a photo of stg invisible ;)) It is the standard sddm login screen, with the last box showing the top of the row of the available DE's and the remainder invisible below the edge of the screen. That's all there is to it....

Created attachment 7568 [details] picture of sddm showing only part of available DEs
(In reply to Dick Gevers from comment #4) > Created attachment 7568 [details] > picture of sddm showing only part of available DEs That does help, even if you explained it well :-) It would be nice if SDDM would have a visible scrollbar, so that it becomes evident that there are more DE choices than the ones shown. Wondering why the one who reported this upstream manages to see 35 sessions to choose from https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/305

btw, I don't understand that SDDM bug report ... it was closed in January 2015 and in November 2015 someone assigned it to himself?
And I wish I could see 35 sessions as I have nowhere near that number. I wonder how he manages to see them when I see never more than 10 or so (out of 15 or so available).
Valid for 6sta1 (classical 64 bit iso dtd 20 May 2016) no doubt other ones too

@marja11@xs4all.nl: If upstream is closed, the keyword UPSTREAM seems inappropriate to me
The upstream report is not closed. What you see is only a reference to another closed issue.
(In reply to Rémi Verschelde from comment #11) > The upstream report is not closed. What you see is only a reference to > another closed issue. sorry, my bad :(
Classic64 RC 7 April 2017 Problem still present: after installing all 6 desktops, the SDDM list presented at login shows about 10 entries. Those beyond *are* present, and you can blindly scroll/arrow down and select them.

Thanks !

This is less severe now that multiple-wm installs (7beta3) use GDM and Plasma only does not have enough menu choices to hit the bug. Triage might close it, but I keep it for followup of upstream.

(In reply to Dick Gevers from comment #20) Severity: normal => critical I'm definitely sure I chose "minor" and Not "critical" ;((

Hello, Is this IN errata or FOR errata? Both keywords are used. I didn't find any entry for it in errata page for Mageia 7.

I suspect sddm is not used at this time...
As this is minor, no regression (not specific to upgrade either), and also not specific to Mageia, IMO this do not need to go in errata. And is it even relevant anymore? ( #23 )
