When testing whether bug 15589 is also valid on msdos partitioned disks, I found that installer not only used (too little) free space on a windows partition, as selected, but also unused space on a different disk without asking.

Even if a corner case (not many will have unused diskspace), it might be better to document it, anyway, so also CC'ing docteam

I think we established this is intentional Marja, where it doesn't have enough space to install. It's worth confirming though.

It would be improved with a message to say that's what it is doing or seeking permission to do so though perhaps.

Well, because of bug 15589, installer only considered very little of the at least 80GB of Mageia partitions that I had deleted and added back to the windows partition, to be free space on a windows partition :-(

Asking for permission would be very nice "Installer detected that there is too little space to install to. Do you agree to use the empty space on sdc?" :-)
