Description of problem: My digital clock in the KDE panel is customized to have no time-zone shown. After customization everything is OK. But once in a while (no idea what triggers the incident), the clock display starts to show the time-zone, and continues to do so until I do Right click on clock -> Digital Clock Settings - Appearance The "Show time zone" checkbutton appears not selected (although the time-zone is displayed). Selecting and then de-selecting again this button and then hitting "Apply" brings me back to normal (time-zone not displayed), and is OK for a couple of days, until - and without any action from my side - the time-zone is displayed again. This problem may be related to bugzilla 7885 and bugzilla 5851. Some details: - my hardware clock is set to local time, - I have ntp running - this problem has been present for a long time (since KDE4.10 ?) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Happens at random intervals (a few days), but keeps happening Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure digital clock into KDE panel 2. Digital Clock Settings -> Appearance 3. Uncheck "Show time zone" Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
> @Juergen: since M3 installer will not be fixed, please change whiteboard to > 5beta1 if it is still seen there, or alternatively kindly close it. Thanks v.m. (comment #27 to https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5851) I had not seen the bug re-appear for a very long time - since I installed Mageia5 Beta 1 it is live and kicking again. A detail I remark now (saw it also in the past, but I did not register the fact then): the bug appears to be due to intempestively and very occasionally have "UTC" becoming set in addtion to the settings I configure in Digital Clock Settings -> Time Zones
