Comment 4 claire robinson 2013-01-15 15:37:30 CET
For my own reference, keeping a note of how to produce the backtrace

$ cd /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/
$ gdb ./soffice.bin

(gdb) run -writer

segfault

(gdb) thread apply all bt full
Comment 5 claire robinson 2013-01-15 16:49:34 CET
LO starts OK x86_64 so must be arch related

it opens with some sort of multimedia toolbar in a popup window though called 'Add-On 1'

I'll attach a screenshot to show what I mean, not sure if it's relevant.

Comment 12 Dave Hodgins 2013-01-18 02:19:36 CET
Don't know if this is relevant or not, but
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-commits/2012-April/029599.html
has a comment that the compile flag -fnon-call-exceptions is needed, and I
don't see it anywhere in the build log, assuming
http://pkgsubmit.mageia.org/uploads/done/cauldron/core/release/20130117223237.pterjan.valstar.13593/firefox-17.0.2-5.mga3/build.0.20130117223405.log
is the correct log to look at.

backtrace.txt with libreoffice-debuginfo installed

It asks for 50 or more extra debuginfos which I can install if necessary but the trace looked useful.
Comment 16 claire robinson 2013-01-18 18:18:15 CET

I can confirm here that libreoffice-4.0.0.1-4.mga3.i586.rpm
resolves this bug for me.

Testing with the new build of iso Mageia-3-beta2-LiveCD-KDE4-en-i586-CD (Mon Jan 21 20:55:00 CET 2013)

Without going into details, LO seems work fine now.

*Libreoffice-4.0.0.1-7.mga3

Great job Team Mageia.
