In current cauldron, uppdated as of this morning, if you lock the screen using the KDE panel icon, you first get a fullscreen lock display, and then it almost immediately shrinks to about 2/3 of the screen (with the original lockscreen wallpaper still visible on the remainder). At this point, the password text entry field will not accept the focus, so it is impossible to type the password and unlock the screen. DM is GDM (if that matters).
same with kde4.10.1 ?
Sorry, missed your comment. This is still happening in current cauldron. Note that you have to explicitly request to lock the screen. Locking it via idle timeout or screensaver doesn't show the problem.
In Mageia 3 the locked KDE screen gets the focus but does not recognize the typed password. It is then impossible to continue under the previous login session. This is a severe bug in practice.

same here with mageia 3. In cauldron I could type password but it was considered invalid. Now my password box doesn't get focus.

My experience: Mageia 3 - all normal updates. I am running twinview (Separate X screen). If I lock the screen the unlock box is not centered and I cannot type the password into it. I can click it to get focus but that is all. Only way I can seem to continue is to reset X (CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE).

This appears to work in current cauldron.

Seems that it's now necessary to press the enter key, before typing in the password, and again after.
