When installing using the Mageia 3 beta 1 pre-release iso images, selecting grub2 for the bootloader, the bootloader install fails with * running: grub2-install /dev/sda with root /mnt * program not found: grub2-install * error: : at /usr/lib/libDrakX/bootloader.pm line 1972. While grub2 is in the media directory of the iso images, it is not installed in the mdkinst.sqfs.

Created attachment 3242 [details] with new beta1 set or netinstall better than before as it can come back to the summary but something is still wrong/missing
Created attachment 3243 [details] log of new beta1 set nothing interesting :s (same in the ddebug.log)
In fact it's much stranger than that. Just did the test here. grub2 package is installed and reboot is fine. grub2 is all configured and working. Still we have that error message saying grub2 is not installed.
indeed going back to the summary with grub2 selected and continue the install, then at first there is grub2
Created attachment 3244 [details] new errors still the same with the new stage2, if we go at end it still works but we have another errors
You need to select the MBR (eg: /dev/sda) and not your root partition (eg: /dev/sda2)
