Description Anderson Carvalho 2012-12-07 23:24:07 CET
Description of problem:
I added the repository http://dl.google.com/linux/musicmanager/rpm/stable/x86_64
However when I ran the command:
# urpmi google-musicmanager-beta
A package could not be installed:
google-musicmanager-beta-1.0.51.1573-0. x86_64 (due to be missing qtwebkit)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.0.51.1573-0

How reproducible:
# urpmi google-musicmanager-beta

There is package in Mageia 2 which supplies qtwebkit?
Comment 1 Manuel Hiebel 2012-12-08 19:26:51 CET
[root@vosdook ~]# urpmq -ya qtwebkit
lib64qtwebkit2.2-devel
lib64qtwebkit2.2_4
lib64smokeqtwebkit3
libqtwebkit2.2-devel
libqtwebkit2.2_4
libsmokeqtwebkit3
qtwebkit-qmlplugin

I already have install all the packages qtwebkit for 64 and still has the problem.

# urpmi google-musicmanager-beta
A package could not be installed:
google-musicmanager-beta-1.0.51.1573-0. x86_64 (due to be missing qtwebkit)

You managed to satisfy the dependencies and install google-musicmanager-beta?
Comment 3 Manuel Hiebel 2012-12-08 22:41:26 CET
your url does'nt work, and a rpm for one distro could not work in another one.

so have you a better link? or to the src.rpm ?
Comment 4 Anderson Carvalho 2012-12-08 22:49:55 CET
You can add the repository with the command below. The repository works, however the single package provided by Google which conflicts with Mageia is the google-musicmanager-beta

# urpmi.addmedia --update google-music http://dl.google.com/linux/musicmanager/rpm/stable/$(uname -m | sed -e "s/i.86/i386/")
Comment 5 Manuel Hiebel 2012-12-08 23:29:19 CET
well something is wrong in their spec,

if you download the rpm http://dl.google.com/linux/musicmanager/rpm/stable/x86_64/google-musicmanager-beta-1.0.51.1573-0.x86_64.rpm

then *unpack* it and launch ./google-musicmanager-beta-1.0.51.1573-0.x86_64/opt/google/musicmanager/google-musicmanager it seems to work here.

but I guess it will be easier if you take directly the archive.

so nothing 'we' can fix

Yes, it works. Could not create an empty package to satisfy the dependency and thus able to update automatically in Mageia?
Comment 7 Manuel Hiebel 2012-12-08 23:53:13 CET
no, how would that be if we do that for each package on thirty part repo ?
this is absurd
Comment 8 Luc Menut 2012-12-09 00:01:18 CET
seems a duplicate of #7943

The above links doesn't work anymore. Both of the posts saying "*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 7943 ***" point to each other.

I did add the url to my repository and I still get the need qtwebkit dependency error.

Thnx.
