With kernel-3.2.1-1 installed, all updates applied this date, my HP 4 cpu system, motherboard Product Name: "2AB1 " is randomly hanging at different start up services and is requiring anywhere from 3 to 9 reboots to get to runlevel 3 prompt. Small list of service names where system hangs are: Load legacey module configuration Load Kernal modules Apply Kernel variables Show Plymouth Boot Screen Media Directory Setup Virtual Console

With kernel-3.2.1-2 irqbalance problem still exists. Random service hangup is worse. I gave up after 29 minutes. No hangups with Alpha2 and my Production Mandriva 2011.0 boots.

3.3.0-desktop-0.rc6.1.mga2 fixes the problem on the quad cpu system. I assume it will also fix the problem on the dual cpu system. If not I'll reopen this bug.
