Ok so perl-MondoRescue-3.2.2-6.mga9 on its way to updates_testing without the obsolete dep (fixed upstream in future branch)
Did we not check for packages with broken deps before branching Mageia 9?

Don't know, but maybe that one was missed.
All pkgs were removed: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/9/task-obsolete/current/SPECS/task-obsolete.spec?r1=1962459&r2=1962578 and: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/9/task-obsolete/current/SPECS/task-obsolete.spec?r1=1962623&r2=1962646 So mondo is also missing in https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/9/

Advisory updated
mondo should be also added in svn as it isn't for now: https://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/9/mondo
Also mondo, mindi and perl-MondoRescue should be removed from the list in 9/task-obsolete
mondo pushed as well into updates_testing.
task-obsolete updated and pushed as well.

So in updates_testing you should test: perl-MondoRescue-3.2.2-6.mga9.noarch.rpm mindi-3.0.2-5.mga9.x86_64.rpm these 2 should come as deps of: mondo-3.2.2-6.mga9.x86_64.rpm All other deps should already be present in Mageia 9.

MGA9-64 Plasma Wayland on Compaq H000SB Installed packages from Comment 21 without problems. Launched from CLI: # mondoarchive See /var/log/mondoarchive.log for details of backup run. Checking sanity of your Linux distribution I think you have a Windows 9x partition. Done. Execution run ended; result=1 Type 'less /var/log/mondoarchive.log' to see the output log I opened and aborted the "Hard Disk" dialogue, that seems to work OK. I agree to the OK, but wonder where that "Windows 9x partition" comes from. There has been Win 10 on this laptop, but I thought/hoped I cleaned it completely.
A "Windows 9x partition" would be FAT32. My guess is it's probably your /boot/EFI partition.
Validating.
