After backport some requires, we have in blogdrake's repository https://ftp.blogdrake.net/mageia/mageia9/free/SRPMS/libreoffice-24.8.0.3-1bdk_mga9.src.rpm

I test build for mageia 9 x86_64 & i586 and not detect issues, it needs some work because I just disable 2 patches that were causing build issues and not rediff or check if still necessary to build in cualdron

I add to Ezequiel because he helps with the backport of the buildrequires

I have testing a week this version of Blogdrake repo, in various computers in my office. 

All works fine, and I don't detected issues.

I think that we should update Mga9 from this version.

Any news about this?

Our users is working with a EOL app,that can lead to security failures.

Please try packaging current 24.8.1+

IMO this should have higher severity, core repo version has been EOL for several months now. If official maintainer is busy, perhaps delegate? Blogdrake's package is working fine for me as well, even if it's also behind now it's much better than unsupported software.

I have several teams working with LibreOffice 24.8.3 Currently from the blogdrake repository, without problems.

How come those packagers are not packaging for main Mageia repos?

Katnatek and Ezequiel are about to become packagers. In my case, I help out in the blogdrake repo with some things, and I can package from the spec as long as it doesn't give me trouble. I'm short on programming, learning very slowly...

But in bug reports for various applications I have indicated on several occasions that we have updated packaging in blogdrake. Perhaps we can take two paths, grab the packaging from blogdrake after a brief review, or revise our packaging policy and let some contributors do it via the spec, as I usually do. It would save time for the devs. Just send the spec and confirm the successful packaging and installation of the result.

Not for i586 but LO 24.2.5.2 is available for mga9.

Can give a quick test ?

mga9-64 very quick check OK: installs cleanly, opened writer, draw, and spreadsheet docs, simple edit, test print to boomaga.

By a bar under menu, it notified user about new functions, I clicked and link opened in default browser OK.

 I am testing this version (24.2.5.2) installed from the test reposstics.

 It works well at the moment. I have opened several documents from different applications (Calc, Writer, Impress) without problems.

 I have exported to PDF and image, saved documents, etc.

 I don't see problems at the moment.

Dependency issues here as well with a similar installation list.  One of the missing packages was lib64zxcvbn0.  As it was not installed here I had to go to the mirror to find the correct designation.  After a lot of fumbling a working version of LO eventually emerged.

Opened jpg and svg images
In draw loaded 100-page popular illustrated magazine as a PDF.
Created two slide presentation with impress using imported image, exported that and reloaded it from the command line.

MGA9-64 server Plasma Wayland on HP-Pavillion.
No further installation issues.
Tested doc, docx, xlsx, ods, odp, files.
odb mostly OK, apart from long standing issue with reports failing to respect page breaks. I filed a bug but, I cann't find it back, I certainly haven't closed it. It had an odb example which illustrated the problem.
But in all this is not a regression, since it exists already for more then a year. And it is typical Mageia.

Yes. And it's frozen-devel, probably a new dependency of one of the development packages.

It shouldn't be on the list of test packages even if it's a new dependency, since it's not being updated.

I did include just in case but looks unlike zxcvbn packages not are run time require

BTW frozen-devel-1.1.1-1.mga9 in regular updates now, don't know why
