Version: 2.0.4-3.mga9 Group: Games/Arcade Architecture: x86_64 Size: 48269 KB Medium: Core Release (distrib1) Trophy 2d racing game Tried the full screen button, no effect Went to settings, checked full screen Entire system switched from 1920 x 1080 to 640 x 480 Not normal behavior
Normal resolution for me is 1366x768. To set fullscreen, launch Trophy-Main menu-Configure-Fullscreen-? I tried right-arrow, which blanked the screen entirely on all desktops, and I could not get it back without re-starting X. Saving this comment before trying a different keystroke...

Second try, I used 'space' to toggle Fullscreen on. Same bad result, but worse: re-starting X (Ctrl/Alt/Bksp/Bksp) looped on the display manager login screen; had to re-boot. And - important - can you say whether this worked on an earlier release, say M8? The project site: https://trophy.sourceforge.net/ shows the version we have trophy-2.0.4.tar.gz, and no activity for 4y. So no update visible.

This was the 1st time trying the game, so no idea about an earlier version I started trying to game instead of doom scrolling :D Operating System: Mageia 9 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.114.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Kernel Version: 6.4.9-desktop-4.mga9 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U w/ Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx Memory: 36.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 20NJ0004US System Version: ThinkPad T495 Trophy is an example of a game in the repository that doesn't work & is abandon ware I went to the forum looking for a way to possibly do some QA on the game section https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15408&p=90120#p90120
It would be great if you could join QA to test games. Too often we have no idea how to drive them. You would be quite free to test *only* games. QA only sees them if any get updated (very rare); or when new ISOs including some are released. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/QA_Team They are a friendly lot. If you yourself discover something that does not work (as for this bug), raise a bug for it. Although trophy is unchanged for 4y, I do not know whether that counts as 'abandonware' - a good word which applies to several old games; it seems to work except for Fullscreen. That can be covered by an ERRATA entry. OTOH it may be eligible for dropping, in which case it needs adding to Bug 32127 "Packages that need to be obsoleted for Mageia 10". CC'ing Frank for his opinion; but assigning to packagers anyway for them to decide.
