When installing the mageia 9 i can't select the keyboard layout (screenshot 1) when i select on go on the next step i have the error of screenshot 2

Ok i found, this is a problem both from my side and from the installer :-) I forgot to add an Harddrive on the VM. Maybe we could add an explicit error message when not harddrive is found.
The screenshots were good for clearly identifying the situation. Theoretically, perhaps yes. Could this message happen for other reasons? If so, could the Installer work out what was the reason? Given that the root cause looks to be in the VM setup, I do not think it is worth it. The message caused you to wonder why; and you found out why. I am CC'ing the Installer maintainers in case they can do something about your suggestion, but closing this anyway. You can re-open it if you want to, and we will assign it to them as an enhancement.

yes and no :-) i would continue to add fixes on current installer, so IF we do a new mageia 9 ( 9.1, etc ) it could use the fixes :-)
