In addition to bug https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32576 the next bug showed up: Right mouseclick on trackname normally opens a context menu where the MIDI output channel can be set. This is essential for e.g. drums to get their input on MIDI channel 10, as well as synthsizers like zynaddsubfx which can handle multi MIDI-channel input. If this feature is broken, as is here, everything regarding sound flavour is messed up and no serious working is possible. I highly recommend to build a package with version 22.12 which is working and hence provided by Ubuntu Linux. This should be placed at least in update-testing. So, either only manual "downgrade" to a working version is possible, or, maybe the version number might be tricked to make it upgrade automatically. The current version in release and in update-testing is NOT worth installing
Workaround for anyone needing a working version: Install rosegarden-18.12-2.mga7.x86_64.rpm from http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia-archive/distrib/7.1/x86_64/media/core/release/ I am just testing it and no bugs found yet. Dependecies fulfilled. Watch Ubuntu / Studio for newer versions than 22.12. As soon as available, upgrade MGA 9 / 10 repos accordingly

Hi, the package is now in core/release, but: $ urpmi rosegarden The following package has bad signature: /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/rosegarden-22.06-2.mga9.x86_64.rpm: Medium without key (OK (RSA/SHA256, Do 05 Jan 2023 16:42:48 CET, Key ID b742fa8b80420f66)) Do you want to continue installation ? (y/N)
The rpm files (currently in updates testing on the princeton mirror) install cleanly here. installing rosegarden-23.06-1.mga9.x86_64.rpm guile2.2-runtime-2.2.7-3.mga9.x86_64.rpm lilypond-2.24.2-2.mga9.x86_64.rpm libsndfile-progs-1.2.0-3.1.mga9.x86_64.rpm lilypond-doc-2.24.2-2.mga9.noarch.rpm sndfile-tools-1.5-2.mga9.x86_64.rpm lib64guile2.2_1-2.2.7-3.mga9.x86_64.rpm from /var/cache/urpmi/rpms Preparing... ############################################################################################################################################################################### 1/7: lib64guile2.2_1 ############################################################################################################################################################################### 2/7: guile2.2-runtime ############################################################################################################################################################################### 3/7: sndfile-tools ############################################################################################################################################################################### 4/7: lilypond-doc ############################################################################################################################################################################### 5/7: lilypond ############################################################################################################################################################################### 6/7: libsndfile-progs ############################################################################################################################################################################### 7/7: rosegarden ############################################################################################################################################################################### Run "urpmi --clean" and then try again. If that fails, most likely something is wrong with the urpmi.cfg file.

Hi Dave! We're not talking about versions > 22.12, which was the last one with essential features knowingly working, see above. Testing 23.* showed that not even the track properties MIDI port and channel can be set. It's useless. So, it's good to see 22.06 in the repo, but the signature has to be ok to make urpmi install without complaining
If I understand well this bug looks like rosegarden-24.06-2 also fix this issue
