Created attachment 13005 [details] Kodi-19.3-YouTube-Work Hi, Stig-Ørjan Smelror. --- Since YouTube is the main TV for me, I decided to check how it works in the new version of Kodi-19.3-1 in Mageia-8 x86_64 and i586. Kodi works perfectly (see the screenshot in the attachment). Thank you for the update. :) I can't tell you more, because in Russia the main plugins for watching movies are being adapted to new versions of Kodi very slowly. However, the weather plugin from GisMeteo from the official repository also works well. bonus: --- The "plugin.video.youtube" requires input an API Key and other nonsense every time it is installed again. And in parallel I made "youtube-set" (youtube-set-0.1-0.mrx8.noarch.rpm): https://github.com/AKotov-dev/youtube-set Since you too love Kodi, maybe it will be useful for you or someone else. :) Cheers, Alex

The latest version (master) of the plugin "Arte +7" v1.1.2 is here and it can be downloaded and installed (see Manual installation): https://github.com/known-as-bmf/plugin.video.arteplussept I updated it directly via "zip-file" in Kodi itself. It's a pity that there are no Russian subtitles. :)
AMD Phenom II X4, radeon HD 8490 graphics, mga8 Plasma system. Updated Kodi, no installation issues. I'm not generally a Kodi user, and do not use any of the add-ons. I have used it to play video files and that's about it. With what little I did, I saw no issues. Giving this an OK and validating, based on my meager test and those of Comment 2 and Comment 3. Removing the OK and validation. We have both tainted and non-tainted versions of Kodi. I don't see anything here about the tainted version.

Updated from Kodi 19.3 to Kodi 19.3 tainted. No installation issues. As I understand it from earlier updates, in particular Bug 26279, one of the features of the tainted version of Kodi is the ability to play DVDs. At first when I tried to play my copy of The Return of the King, it wouldn't play. The eject button would work, but the play button did nothing. I was about to report that here, but decided to do a little research first, and learned that this is a known issue with Kodi 19.x. It seems that Kodi 19.x is unable to properly automount a movie DVD. However, I found that if I were to insert the DVD and use Plasma's device notifier to mount it before running Kodi, then Kodi was able to play the DVD with no problems. Since this appears to be a known upstream problem and not a regression, I'm going to restore the OK and Validation. Advisory in Comment 9.
