Mageia 8, x86_64 Quad Core Intel Core i7-4790 NVIDIA GM204 [GeForce GTX 970] Installed under the latest linus kernel and rebooted smoothly with nvidia 470.86. Rebooted and chose an earlier desktop kernel, 5.10.70-1. At reboot the nvidia and virtualbox modules were rebuilt, virtualboxbox worked for launching a client but failed to restart a saved session (to be expected). Installed the latest desktop kernel - scheduled update. Not in the menu. Ran `drakboot --boot` after login and rebooted. OK that time. $ uname -r 5.10.78-desktop-1.mga8 $ glmark2 -b refract ======================================================= glmark2 2020.04 ======================================================= OpenGL Information GL_VENDOR: NVIDIA Corporation GL_RENDERER: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2 GL_VERSION: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 470.86 ======================================================= [refract] <default>: FPS: 4050 FrameTime: 0.247 ms ======================================================= glmark2 Score: 4050 ======================================================= stellarium works fine too.
