Tested in VirtualBox MGA7 and MGA8 Plasma guests that had not run Konversation before, so there was no existing user config file. No installation issues.

Simulated a user new to both Konversation and IRC by simply running Konversation. Libera did come up as the default in both cases, and clicking on "Connect" did indeed connect me with Libera Chat, and all looked normal for what a new user should see. That is as far as I went, but should be enough.

Also updated a real hardware install that had been used regularly with Konversation, and is our policy the user's config file was unchanged, so existing Konversation users will need to add the Libera Chat server manually.

This update is OK for both releases. Validating. Advisory in Comment 0.

Using the updated MGA8 Konversation, I was able to connect to Libera Chat, register my nickname, use SASL authentication, and set things up to join the mageia-qa chatrom upon logging in, with everything working as expected.

Advisory:
========================

Updated konversation package switches to libera.chat IRC network

By default in Mageia, we used freenode as IRC network.
We decided to change and to use libera.chat network.

This update modifies default configuration in this way.

As our policy is to leave the user's config file unchanged, existing Konversation users will need to add the Libera Chat server manually.
