Description of problem: The installer can detect local Wi-Fi networks but not to connect to them using RTL8821ce driver. How reproducible: Run the installer with a device using RTL8821ce Wi-Fi card for internet connection.
From https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_8_Release_Notes#Available_installation_media ... Note that by decision, Classic Installer will not use non-free drivers during install, so you may need wired Ethernet if you wish to use online repositories for updates during install. They nonfree drivers and firmware are on the iso so they can be installed, but as the question of using nonfree hasn't been asked, they are not used when the iso boots. For Mageia 9, hopefully we'll add something like what we have for the Live iso images so the use of nonfree drivers and firmware can be selected prior to booting the kernel.

I'm going to close this bug as a duplicate of bug 28323. For now, using the netinstall-nonfree iso can be used to have wifi working during installation. It can be downloaded from https://www.mageia.org/en-gb/downloads/ selecting the network installation and then the nonfree cd or directly from a mirror such as http://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/mageia/distrib/8/x86_64/install/images/Mageia-8-netinstall-nonfree-x86_64.iso
