Description of problem: At end of install, when user selects to reboot, on some systems there is a message visible shortly (about one second) that X crashed with double free fault. The error is not logged, as logging have been closed already. Version-Release: Classic Installer Mageia 8b2 64 bit at least How reproducible: Not visible on all systems. I guess a reason may be how quick the monitor is to display text after video mode change. I see it on Thinkpad T400. Martin W reports seeing it installing under virtualbox. This is "just" cosmetic, but also one of the first impressions a potential new user / journalist see. ("Installer crashed?!")
You are right, it is not a good thing to see. Important: does it reccur on subsequent boots, or only the first re-boot? From QA testing, do you know to what extent others are seeing it; and with just the Classic ISO, or Lives as well? Is there any detectable video preference for the fault (VB makes this doubtful)?

This is not happening on the installed system (what i noticed.) It is only very briefly shown when *installer* shuts down.
Asked now on qa-discuss how many see this
Thanks for the clarification, I had got it wrong! It is less bad than I first thought.
