Description Morgan Leijström 2020-08-07 02:33:20 CEST
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rpmdrake-6.30-1.mga7.src.rpm

How reproducible:
For second time now in a couple weeks i notice this.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select packages to update, and let it
2. It downloads all packages and start installing...
3. *IF* it fails with message it can not find a file and i should update the package list (or some message like that), then
4. When i OK that message i see the package it complained about is shown as part of the cathegory tree!! See screenshot attachement.

About what package it shows, i see now it is the 32 bit, i selected the 64 bit for update.

The dropdown was set to "All updates" (and i am updating from testing repo.) To reset the view i can select i.e. "All". Back to listing "All updates" the view is correct.

So it seem to be something about how it refreshes the view only after the error dialog: there seem to be some leak of info from error dialog to what it then shows in that pane.

Happened again.
running drakrpm, let it update all testing repos, decided to try updating mariadb

It popped up a message, translated from Swedish:

----------------8<---------------
The package "mariadb-common-10.3.24-1.mga7.i586" was found.
But this package is not in the package list.
You probably need to update your urpmi database.

Matching packages:

- mariadb-common-10.3.24-1.mga7.x86_64 (media: None (installed))
- mariadb-common-core-10.3.24-1.mga7.x86_64 (media: None (installed))
---------------->8---------------

This is what GIU show

This is what GIU show after clicking "System" and then "Servrar" to expand them.

The rpms should be listed in the right pane, not in cathegory tree...

Full output of journalctl for the time it was running

(Except updating maria, i also let it remove stellarium and update evolution-data-server)

Mageia 7 is EOL since July 1st 2021.
There will not have any further bugfix for this release.

You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible.

@reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it.

@packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead.

This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021.

Hi bug reporter and hi assignee and others involved,

Please reopen this bug report if it is still valid for Mageia 8 or 9(cauldron), and change "Version:" in the upper left of this report accordingly.

This report is being closed as OLD because it was filed against Mageia 7, for which support ended on June 30th 2021.

Thanks,
Marja

I saw this again a couiple times, last yesterday on mga9 after install of simplescreenrecorder and many deps. Then there was a whole list of rpms in left pane.

Additionally it also glitched after package install by popping up a list of
"However this package is not in the package list"
as described in
 https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15230

These errors sometimes shows up separately, sometimes that message before displaying packages in left pane like in the screenshot in this bug.

I *assume* the faults are related.

As still in mga9, assuming in cauldron too.
