Description of problem: No geolocation data is returned, so web site requiring geolocation data is not working any more. I have tried to install a firefox add-on to set the geolocation manually (locationguard), which gives error, when trying to get the current location data. In about:config modifying geo.wifi.uri from https://location.services.mozilla.com/v1/geolocate?key=%MOZILLA_API_KEY% to https://location.services.mozilla.com/v1/geolocate?key=test resolves the problem temporarily, so I think the problem is around the API_KEY. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-beta-78.0-0.b8.mga8 firefox-68.9.0-2.mga8 chromium-browser-81.0.4044.138-1.mga8 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load URL in fireofx/Chrome 2.Clik on Try it and allow location access 3.Nothing is returned
Changing geo.provider.network.url to https://location.services.mozilla.com/v1/geolocate?key=test makes it work again. https://www.googleapis.com/geolocation/v1/geolocate?key=%GOOGLE_LOCATION_SERVICE_API_KEY% currently does not seem to work btw.
Thank you for the report, and your diagnosis. Assigning globally for Firefox (no fixed maintainer), CC'ing cjw for Chromium etc.

Is there any headway on this? It fails on M8 as well as M7.
