The w_scan2 man page includes: -k generate channels.dvb for kaffeine instead of VDR channels.conf. The referenced github page from `rpm -qi w_scan2' includes: generate kaffeine-0.8.5 channels.dvb ./w_scan2 -c DE -k > channels.dvb I do: $ w_scan2 -c US -k > channels.dvb w_scan2 -c US -k w_scan2: invalid option -- 'k' This is on up-to-date Mageia release 7 (Official) for x86_64 with just-installed w_scan2-1.0.3-1.mga7.x86_64 lib64dvbapps-1.1.1-8.hg1500.9.mga7.x86_64 dvb-apps-1.1.1-8.hg1500.9.mga7.x86_64 Repeated tries gives same result. Thanks.

It is here: https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/w_scan2/issues/21 Thanks.
Thanks Rolf. I hope I have put things in the right place, the upstream bug URL replacing the original: https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/w_scan2

(In reply to Rolf Pedersen from comment #2) > It is here: https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/w_scan2/issues/21 > Thanks. I received an update from the upstream bug: "Looks like Kaffeine output was removed 6 years ago: https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/w_scan2/blob/895870e0497f33ce383b00fdf0a6b1c230657c6e/ChangeLog#L136 We just need to update the manual page and README." So, docs were patched, bug closed.

Assigning to QA now, Advisory: ======================== Our current w_scan2 package still reference kaffeine output support but this one was removed upstream about 6 years ago. So this update remove the "-k" option from the docs: - Kaffeine output support was removed 6 years ago. Not sure what to do in this situation - Should the "UPSTREAM" keyword be removed? Should the Summary field be changed to reflect what was actually done? I leave it to wiser, more experienced heads to decide. Validating. Advisory in Comment 5.
