Description of problem: When trying to upgrade from mga6 to mga7, I got firefox-67.0.4-1.mga7.x86_64 (due to conflicts with firefox-68.1.0-1.mga7.x86_64) Current mga6 is uptodate. I used the following commands : urpmi.removemedia -a urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist 'http://mirrors.mageia.org/api/mageia.7.$ARCH.list' urpmi --auto-update --auto --force --download-all --test
Laurent: prudent of you to use --test. Assigning globally for this sort of problem; also Firefox has no registered maintainer.

It was in 'Mageia_7_Notes_de_version'. I don't think this is related to Firefox package itself but the fact there is two Firefox packages for upgrade and the installer try to install both instead of using the latest. Maybe it just need some kind of cleaning in the upgrade repo ?
Firefox 67 is in release, and Firefox 68 in updates repo. what are the output of: rpm -q firefox urpmq --sources firefox did you have others error ? could you try again adding --debug ?
rpm -q firefox firefox-60.9.0-1.mga6 OK Problem solved ! I had firefox-en_ZA-67.0.4-1.mga7.noarch (due to unsatisfied firefox[== 0:67.0.4]) Removing the firefox-en_ZA-67.0.4-1 from mga6 did the trick. (I was not aware this packet was installed as I don't live in ZA, should be an Alzheimer click ;) I had also some conflicts from i586 dev package. Why not removing i586 packages when upgrading the system ? Thanks for your help...I'm now ready for mga7 ! :)

(In reply to laurent murphy91 from comment #4) > I had also some conflicts from i586 dev package. Why not removing i586 > packages when upgrading the system ? The Upgrading section of the M7 Release Notes says: "If you want to upgrade a 64-bit system, it may contain 32-bit software. This is not a problem provided it does not include development libraries. You can identify these by the word "devel" in the name. To know if your system houses such libraries you can use the command: rpm -qa --queryformat "%{NAME}-%{version}-%{RELEASE}-%{ARCH}\n" |grep i586 |grep devel You must un-install these libraries before upgrading."
This is actually a packaging bug. In the update to firefox 68, some languages got dropped, but no obsoletes added: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/updates/7/firefox-l10n/current/SPECS/firefox-l10n.spec?r1=1401079&r2=1420295

Sorry about that. Next time, I will read more carefully. Maybe next time, it could be done by the installer ? Not everyone is familiar with rpm query.
Suggested advisory: ======================== The updated packages fix a packaging bug: Some translations of firefox where removed upstream but the packages did not obsolete them. That issue prevents upgrading from Mageia 6 to 7 if firefox-en_ZA package is installed, for instance. 64-bit Plasma system on a Probook 6550b. Firefox and US language pack packages installed cleanly. I see no regressions on this system, so there is that. However, since this system never had the ZA language pack installed in the first place, it is unknown to me if that problem has been repaired.
