Description of problem: The computer is a laptop with Cauldron (up-to-date). DE is KDE Plasma. When I switch on the computer with no wifi available, the default icon is present in the taskbar. Then, a wifi hotspot is activated, and the computer automatically connects to the (already known) wifi signal. Yet, the icon in the taskbar is still showing the default netapplet icon. However, if the wifi is already activated when the computer is switched on, the system connects to the wifi and the appropriate wifi icon is displayed in the taskbar. How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Deactivate all wifi signal. Switch on your computer. 2. When DE is in use, activate your wifi connexion. 3. See that your computer connects to the wifi, but the netapplet icon is not changing into the wifi icon in your taskbar. Also, if the cursor is moved over the icon, net_applet prints "Connexion in progress...", although the connexion is already established. (This bug also concerns Mageia 6.1)
I can't find an existing bug report about this issue, but, IIRC this is a known bug that exists in other DEs, too.
