Description Florian Hubold 2019-01-20 22:56:44 CET
Since update to Thunderbird 60, the default homepage within thunderbird leads to daily instead of release, which lead to confusion for a few users, as they don't expect this from a stable release. This happens because https://live.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/start does not seem to like the channel that our build uses and hence falls back to daily.

See also https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1489845 for more context. So we should probably be using channel=release to get the normal homepage.

Hi,

I added "--enable-update-channel=release" in the SPEC file. In my tests, thunderbird-60.5.0-2.mga7 now displays the good welcome page.

The same modification was added to Mga6 SVN repository.

Best regards,

Nico.
