Suggested advisory : When loading an online map, QlandkarteGT failed saying : "Projection epsg:4326 unknown". This update requires proj package to fix this packaging error. RPMS : qlandkartegt-1.8.1-8.1.mga6.{i586|x86_64}.rpm SRPM : qlandkartegt-1.8.1-8.1.mga6.src.rpm
MGA6-32 on Asus A6000VM MATE No installation issues Open qlandkartegt at CLI and try to get online map, tried two Belgian maps. I get: $ qlandkartegt use config file: "" Warning: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile Warning: QSqlDatabase: QSQLITE driver not loaded Warning: QSqlDatabase: available drivers: Warning: QSqlQuery::exec: database not open and two xml files pointing to an obsolete site. and the map area shows "nomap". Tried a german one Baden-Wuertenberg, the file points to a site which gives me HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found. So , the program might work, but there might be another dependency missing (QSQLITE)? And with bad links to maps it is pretty useless.

I don't know for the other database. But at least it should be mentioned that the French map "France Topo 25" works and is the one that needs proj. Please test with this one.
France topo25 works OK, so good to go.

Testing M6/64 GPS device mapping tool...QLandkarte GT is the ultimate outdoor aficionado's tool for GPS maps in GeoTiff format as well as Garmin's img vector map format. No time to explore how to use this properly. BEFORE update: installed qlandkartegt-1.8.1-8.mga6 $ urpmq -d qlandkartegt | grep -v ^lib did NOT show 'proj'. Launching it from the command line, it starts fine. I tried downloading the Austrian map (they got to ~/qlandkartegt-<user>/maps/ which showed nothing, no error. Then tried the French '25' map, trying which threw the error dialogue "Unknown projection epsg:4326" + Abort button. AFTER the update, which pulled in automatically: proj-4.9.2-1.mga6.x86_64 qlandkartegt-1.8.1-8.1.mga6 Referencing the Updates Testing repos, $ urpmq -d qlandkartegt | grep -v ^lib DID include 'proj'. Trying it from menu (Education-Geography-) I managed to raise the France 25 map, but could do little with it beyond zooming & panning what it displayed. Trying to search for my own area gave "Error downloading ... not found". Pity: I could use this! Update OK. Validating, advisory to do.
