Description of problem: Don't know if we want to blame the update, or mgaapplet, but the mentioned package update fails to install with the gui: Sorry, the following package cannot be selected: perl-CPANPLUS-0.910.300-1.1.mga1.noarch (due to unsatisfied perl(Archive::Extract)) urpmi updates it fine, pulling in perl-IPC-Cmd and perl-Archive-Extract So I guess we either want push those 2 to updates or fix mgaapplet (or it's just a fluke only I experienced)
I guess mgaapplet has not been fixed to pull from /release, as back in mdv it assumed all packages was available in /updates

But why isn't the fix in MageiaUpdate already? we imported it from cooker, so that fix should be in...

This now affects bug 2097 where the purpose of the update is to add a requires for hugin, which is only in Core Release.

While trying to recreate the install problem, I used "urpme hugin", which uninstalled hugin and kipi-plugins-expoblending. I then reinstalled kipi-plugins-expoblending from "Core Release". I restarted mgaapplet, and waited the 5 minutes, to try and recreate the problem reported to me. Aug 6 03:07:59 hodgins mgaapplet[10211]: Computing new updates... Proceed with the installation of the 2 packages? (Y/n) In addition to the problem of not allowing required packages to come from Core Release, it seems mgaapplet doesn't even recognize that an update is available, when it is. In my opinion, mgaapplet should be using "urpmi --auto-select", after updating the repositories, rather then "urpmi.update --update".
