Description of problem: New install using boot.iso to a blank drive on 14 Jan 2017 Failure does not occur immediately. Shortly after install the fault occurs Does not open with menu icon. Open user terminal. Looks *very* much like a duplicate of bug 20020. Does vlc work for you after running the command mentioned here: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20020#c3 > strace /usr/lib64/vlc/vlc-cache-gen -f /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins (The reporter there said it needs to be repeated after every vlc update)
