Would be helpful if you would provide at least some more details, e.g. attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log and also the output of

glxinfo|grep -iE 'vendor|string'
lspcidrake -v

You could try to change
Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
to
Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
in xorg.conf as described in e.g. https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?p=59674#p59674 if you run any of the 4.x kernels, to see if that changes anything regarding performance.

@Thomas:
Can you have a look again for the mentioned x11-driver-video-intel update, cf. https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16655#c94
Comment 7 Otto Leipälä 2015-12-23 20:32:39 CET
I already try it but it didn't change nothing.
Kernel 4.x have some bugs with bay trail and desktop freezes what should go away set intel_idle.max_cstate=1

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012
Comment 8 Otto Leipälä 2015-12-23 21:12:08 CET
It did help first i set wrong identifier in intel settings file.
Comment 9 Otto Leipälä 2015-12-25 13:34:00 CET
Tmb can you take a look this arch linux aur build kernel bay trail,to see if we missing some kernel modules or configuration ?.Dropbox have better look with uxa but other performance is still bad.

Dmesg log

I added dmesg if that help too to find out this problem.
Comment 11 Otto Leipälä 2016-01-05 15:27:36 CET
Did you tmb able to test that laptop you mention in work ?.
Comment 12 Otto Leipälä 2016-01-08 12:57:28 CET
Could this sata/ssd speed make these problems ? it should be 3gb/s and speed are terrible slow so something is wrong.

hdparm -Tt /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 3210 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1604.82 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 796 MB in 3.00 seconds = 265.31 MB/sec

Ssd works at 66mb/s speed ? tmb this will explain why this system is so slow.

I got overall performance with ssd better with 4.4rc1 kernel from backports testing, but graphics problem is same with sna so uxa still beat buggy sna.
Comment 17 Otto Leipälä 2016-05-04 11:04:53 CEST
I moved to Mga6 dev1 works with full performance with sna no any graphical problems or performance lost. :)

Closing this report as OLD, then, since no one else reported having the same issue and you moved to 6dev1 over 8 months ago
