See ufdbguard update in bug 16734 When updated ufdbguard init script is restarting ufdb and failing due to it already running. It then shows with a status of stopped even though squid is still using it. ufdbguard install/update should stop both services and restart both ufdb and squid, with ufdb starting first. Maybe needs something in %post rather than init script
(In reply to claire robinson from comment #1) > Maybe needs something in %post rather than init script Yeah, I *think* "systemctl try-restart squid.service" *should* do the right thing. I've added that in Cauldron. We can try that in Mageia 5 once the existing update is pushed.
This will do the squid restart automatically when you install it. Testing directions in Bug 16734. Advisory: ---------------------------------------- The ufdbguard package has been updated to version 1.31-patch14, which fixes an issue where it would need to be manually restarted if the connection queue was full. See the upstream release notes for more details.
