Description Doug Laidlaw 2015-02-23 12:36:08 CET
Description of problem:
I have Wine installed on a 64-bit Cauldron, together with 32-bit libraries. The nvidia-cuda package came down with it.

I now have updates of Wine64 1.7.30, Wine32 to match, and Lib64opencl1 version 2.1.3-3. Nonw ill install. The message is that the new Lib64opencl1 conflicts with the existing nvidia-cuda.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lib64opencl1 Ver 2.1.3 Rel 3.mga5

> What is the error message ?

"1 installation transactions failed

There was a problem during the installation:

file /usr/lib64/libOpenCL.so.1 from install of lib64opencl1-2.1.3-3.mga5.x86_64 conflicts with file from package nvidia-cuda-toolkit-6.5.14-5.mga5.nonfree.x86_64"

I am running BOINC, but not using my GPU.
Comment 3 Doug Laidlaw 2015-02-23 20:24:05 CET
The message says that only 1 transaction failed, but the other 2 must depend on it.

That doesn't seem to follow. Samba was a candidate while the above 3 were still "live." Nothing would install. I deselected the 3, and Samba updates installed O.K. Not what I expected.

Comment 5 Doug Laidlaw 2015-03-11 23:57:53 CET
Latest update of nvidia-cuda-toolkit doesn't seem to fix the problem:

"1 installation transactions failed

There was a problem during the installation:

file /usr/lib64/libOpenCL.so.1 conflicts between attempted installs of nvidia-cuda-toolkit-6.5.14-6.mga5.nonfree.x86_64 and lib64opencl1-2.1.3-3.mga5.x86_64"
Comment 6 Doug Laidlaw 2015-03-12 05:05:56 CET
Since the message is that the existing library conflicts with the new one, I am about to uninstall the existing one and try again. Stay tuned!
Comment 7 Doug Laidlaw 2015-03-12 05:34:26 CET
There is no existing install of either libOpenCL.so.1 or lib64opencl1. The conflict must be between the two candidates for installation.

Whatever it was, the bug hasn't returned, and the report needs to be closed.
