5beta2 classic DVD 32 with default gnome installation Gnome installation is missing libgnome2 & libgnome2_0 MageiaWelcome starts but the buttons giving access to documentation, bugzilla etc do nothing. Journal shows.. gnome-session: /usr/bin/xdg-open: line 507: gnome-open: command not found. Adding medias and checking with urpmf shows gnome-open is provided by libgnome2. When manually installed it also installs libgnome2_0. Confirmed that with these packages installed the buttons in MageiaWelcome work as expected but MageiaWelcome itself is probably not a sensible place to add a require. Should it be a missing deps on mageiawelcome?
Not sure. It provides /usr/bin/gnome-open which is probably not needed anywhere other than gnome.
It could maybe be missing from xdg-utils which provides /usr/bin/xdg-open
Mate is also affected.

Installing gvfs package also fixes this problem. Although it pulls around 15M other packages as dependency (recommends). Tested on fresh install from Gnome Live DVD pre-release mga5b2 iso.
Then again we have missing dependancies. Also recommends are not used by installer by default

Nothing in GNOME strictly requires gvfs. So adding a "Requires" anywhere is pretty much incorrect (it really is a recommend). I could add a require in mageiawelcome, but not sure. I'm thinking of just adding gvfs to CAT_GNOME in rpmsrate-raw. Packages can only appear once in that file though, and seems Cinnamon isn't doing the right thing with that.
Added to rpmsrate-raw. So gvfs should be installed in next iso (I think:P).
