Description David GEIGER 2014-02-24 21:29:17 CET
Hi,

On my laptop(1) where is installed mga4 for x86_64 KDE4 (full DVD) I have two printers connected via USB and shared on my local network via Samba (MGAGROUP).

I start my desktop PC(2) with mga2, I run "system-config-printer" and then I do not see the two shared printers from mga4 (Laptop 1).
When they should be visible automatically via the "ipp" protocol. Before on mga3 it worked without any problems (this is a regression).

On my desktop PC(2) with mga2 I also have a USB shared printer on the local network (MGAGROUP too), I start my laptop(1) and I run "system-config-printer" and there I can see and use the shared printer from mga2. Here it works.

Now I have also noticed that if I go into "draksambashare" -> "Printers tab"-> "Modify tab" I can not change anything because the MCC crash with error :

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Failed to modify.
undefined value for mandatory argument 'text' encountered at /usr/libexec/draksambashare line 539
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other information:
This bug may be related with the following: #bug 12530

This is a rather annoying bug because I can not use my shared printers from a PC other than the laptop printers (1).
