Classic DVD 64 with default MATE installation.

Installs with GDM but logs in to a very minimal Gnome by default. Mate can be selected manually and logs in OK once chosen, just the default configuration from a default installation of Mate is actually Gnome.

looks like you have an old version of meta-task: 
* selecting meta-task-4-16.mga4.noarch

it should have been fixed in new one: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=564921
