Looks like this driver has many bugs : teapot from mesa-demos also crashes him.
Please download both https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=121 and https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=122 Then enable the core/debug_release media/repository and install x11-server-debug, x11-driver-video-openchrome-debug, glibc-debug Then just run "sh ./Xgdb2.sh" on a text terminal as root (not from a terminal within X11!!! use Ctrl+Alt+F1), then switch back to X11 until it segfaults (Ctrl+Alt+F7).

redhat has fixed some XV crashes in it's FC15 openchrome driver by using a newer snapshot. Maybe should we do that.
I'll try it immediately if an rpm is avalaible?
Not sure this will have have an effect, but try disabling the X composite extension, drakx11 -> Options, disable "Enable Translucency (Composite Extension)".
(In reply to comment #5) > Not sure this will have have an effect, but try disabling the X composite > extension, drakx11 -> Options, disable "Enable Translucency (Composite > Extension)". This does not change anything.
(In reply to comment #2) > Then just run "sh ./Xgdb2.sh" on a text terminal as root > then switch back to X11 until it segfaults (Ctrl+Alt+F7). Done, I attach the log. I had to add a 'run' command before the 'cont' line to get Xorg running, and it is Alt+F8 now in Mageia for X ;-) I got the crash with any video when switching it to fullscreen in mplayer.
Created attachment 379 [details] Debug info for the crash

Maybe for the Errata : use X11 output instead of Xv in Chrome hardware, as the bug is not solved.

(In reply to comment #1) > Looks like this driver has many bugs Does anyone know a link to an upstream bug report (I didn't search, because I suppose someone already did)

I don't have the hardware anymore to test if latest X fixes it, so closing as old.
