Description of problem: lightsoff didn't start; in cli, it tells me it requires GtkClutter; i installed libclutter-gtk0.10_0 it then segfaulted. (i'm starting this from a KDE desktop.) I also noticed the seed (which is what seems to actually run) readme; says some stuff about gtkClutter not being used anymore; and it shouldn't be used, because it gives bad results, (or similar) Steps to Reproduce: 1. install KDE desktop 2. install lightsoff 3. run it i have a backtrace of the segfault: #0 0xb7f25aa5 in g_option_context_parse () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #1 0xb3650d1b in gtk_clutter_init_with_args () from /usr/lib/libclutter-gtk-0.10.so.0 #2 0xb6a16407 in ffi_call_SYSV () from /usr/lib/libffi.so.5 #3 0xb6a1615f in ffi_call () from /usr/lib/libffi.so.5 #4 0xb7cc7473 in ?? this bug was reported on ubuntu and patches are proposed, but that bug is still open: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seed/+bug/725320

What about the links given there, did anyone check if those commits fix the problem? Also see relevant upstream GNOME bugreport, which was marked resolved: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=630990 http://git.clutter-project.org/clutter-gtk/commit/?id=f52ed20 http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-games/commit/?id=f355bdc http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-games/commit/?id=98b73ad

And it isn't in Cauldron anymore, it looks like they really dropped the game.
Well, didn't look out for that, just at the upstream bug report. Although last comment from lightsoff developers was more than a year ago, so probably likely that it's already gone from Cauldron. I'll try to take a look at lightsoff.
hmm, last night i tried to check that gtkclutter patch, to see if it would solve the issue. i didn't complete the work yet...

Mdv has a version 2.32.1-3 (+ Revision: 672420 - add br + Oden Eriksson - mass rebuild) that was committed by Funda in May. I don't have time now to check Mdv bugzilla to see whether it segfaults too or not.

Pinging, because nothing has happened with this report for more than 3 months, it still has the status NEW or REOPENED.
it looks completely different, and not even part of the original package group... but in x86_64 it worked, and i586 i got a segfault again... so, i guess it's still not fixed...

yes, wontfix in mageia1, since mga2 and cauldron should work fine
