The problem: It's difficult for people inside the project (and outside of it) to visualize themselves online, for who they are, what they do, in what context. A solution: Have something like individual profile page + groups pages (using teams) that can explain: who is the person, what roles she has in what teams, what she does/did, links to other related resources, etc. (yes, call this a small ad-hoc social network). Of course, this will only work with volunteer people (opt-in is the rule). Related to bug 998. Requires bug 452 to be closed.

We could merge into this a personal/group dashboard page - what comes to mind first is: list of open bugs cc'ed or assigned to, list of packages owned/managed.

With the proposed opt-in, I really like the idea

Pinging. because nothing happened to this report since more than 3 months ago, and it still has the status NEW or REOPENED. Please set status to ASSIGNED. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.

Giving up on this idea. May come back some day in a different form.

I think that's a good idea. As a start we could have very simple pages only showing the name of the user, ldap groups, list of packages maintained.

Yes. But my prototype sucked big time, and I have no time to focus on it for the coming months. If nothing happens until then from someone else, I'll prefer to start from a blank state.

Since we have http://people.mageia.org/ I think we can actually close this one as fixed.
