In our installer and MCC manuals, the "Search" button is empty for most languages. The button can be seen here in the upper left of the screen, next to "Content": http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/en/content/index.html However, in most translations it is almost invisible, because the translation is missing. http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/el/content/index.html (Greek) http://docteam.mageia.nl/eo/installer/content/index.html (Esperanto) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/es/content/index.html (Spanish) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/et/content/index.html (Estonian) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/nl/content/index.html (Dutch) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/pt_br/content/index.html (BrazilianP.) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/ru/content/index.html (Russian) http://docteam.mageia.nl/sv/installer/content/index.html (Swedish) http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/uk/content/index.html (Ukrainian) Or the English word is used. http://doc.mageia.org/installer/3/de/content/index.html The translations should be (language code - language - "translation"): de - German: "Suche" el - Greek: "ÎναζήÏηÏη" et - Estonian: "Otsing" nl - Dutch: "Zoeken" uk - Ukrainian: "ÐоÑÑк" For the other languages we still need to get the translation. Even if it is undoubtedly an upstream issue (either Calenco or DocBook WebHelp), it is probably worth the trouble to workaround it. And again I don't manage to cc: "CC: doc-bugs@ml.mageia.org i18n-bugs@ml.mageia.org did not match anything" @ leuhmanu What do I do wrong?

I suppose someone smart could take the same, unzipped files from the visible online help in docteam.mageia.org, run some script with sed for the changes etc. I'll ask oliver
Matteo is working on this :-)

I'm on it right now. I had no time to work on this bug till now.

MCC --- mageia-doc-3.8-1.mga4 is now available for Cauldron. It fixes the Estonian documentation for MCC. Now I'm working on the package for mga3. Who's in charge of the upgrade of the documentation for MCC published through the website[1]? You can find the patched sources into our versioned repository[2]. You can download the 3.8 version using something like: svn export svn+ssh://${USER}@svn.mageia.org/svn/soft/mageia-doc/tags/mageia-doc-3.8 Installer --------- Can someone explain me which are the differences between the drakx installer help into our versioned repository[3] and the zipped archives[4], please? Which one I'm supposed to use to fix this issue? Where I'm supposed to upload my changes? I've already managed to fix this issue, I will publish the compressed archive this evening :-)
I was talking about the doc website. Or did i misunderstood something ?
I think we use the same archives to build both the packages and the website documentation. I think that it's true -at least- for the documentation for MCC. I'm going to upload the archives if you agree and if I'm not wrong, of course.
Here is the complete list of translations: de - German: "Suche" el - Greek: "ÎναζήÏηÏη" eo - Esperanto: "SerÄi" es - Spanish: "Buscar" et - Estonian: "Otsing" nl - Dutch: "Zoeken" pt_br - Brazilian Portuguese: "Pesquisa" ru - Russian: "ÐоиÑк" sv - Swedish: "Sök" uk - Ukrainian: "ÐоÑÑк"
done on the web site for mcc/et
@ Claire There is nothing left for Matteo to do, he fixed it in the MCC help package. However, on doc.mageia.org it wasn't done yet for installer help, so I'll reassign to you.

Hi, trying to be of help I submitted the commit r2745 that fixes the search button issue for the installer web help. I used this script[1]. It's almost the same script I'm currently using to patch the documentation for mcc. Regards [1]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16744615/update-doc.sh

(In reply to Alex Loginov from comment #16) > And empty here: http://docteam.mageia.nl/ru/MCC/content Sorry, I had missed your comment :-[ CC'ing remmy @ remmy To get and keep this fixed on docteam.mageia.nl, matteo's script needs to be updated and adjusted. When it is, and we add it in docteam.mageia.nl, would you have time to perform some magic so that it is run after every change in a http://docteam.mageia.nl/<lang_code>/MCC/content/ or http://docteam.mageia.nl/<lang_code>/installer/content/ directory ? (Btw, am I the only one with access to docteam.mageia.nl ?)

btw, for the Mga4 publications that I just looked at on mageia.org, this is _not_ fixed :-(

Assigning to me, found a way to fix it in Calenco, see the Ukrainian Search button here: http://docteam.mageia.nl/uk/installer/content/index.html It currently breaks all translations for the Search button that already existed, but that can most likely be fixed by repeating the steps I took for Ukrainian, for all other languages

If I didn't forget to regenerate a publication after adjusting the used WebHelp stylesheets in Calenco, then it is fixed now for all zipped and unzipped WebHelp publication on docteam.mageia.nl @ papoteur @ lebarhon There were no changes in the publications that cannot be used for the Mageia 4 manuals, correct? re-assigning to grenoya, to get the fixed webhelps on doc.mageia.org, at least for Mageia 5

That can be done with a script similar to the one I use on docteam.mageia.nl http://docteam.mageia.nl/use_en_screenshots (if you use an absolute path, then please use one to mageia.org... I'm not sure how much traffic remmy's server can handle)

I'll file a separate bug report about this issue on doc.mageia.org, this bug has become too confusing and long. It is fixed everywhere else (in Calenco and in mageia-doc), so closing for those parts
