Description of problem:If, during installation of above .iso, NTP and server are set up, when checking time and date settings, NTP is now unchecked and server is not listed. Re-enabling NTP does not cause the rpm package to be reinstalled, server also has to be re-set Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible:for 2 x desktops from this .iso => LXDE and Cinnamon Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install only LXDE or Cinnamon DE from above .iso on real hardware . be sure to enable NTP and set local server at configuration page 2.Launch DE and check date and time setting from within MCC 3.observe that NTP is no longer enabled Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
Looks like a cauldron dup of bug 17091 @ Ben Please attach both /root/drakx/report.bug.xz of one such install and also attach journalctl-b.txt which is the result of running (as root) journalctl -b > journalctl-b.txt When you write: "Install only LXDE or Cinnamon DE", does that mean that the problem does _not_ exist with other DEs, or that you _only_ tested those two DEs ? Btw, please do not put "Mageia-6-dev1-i586-DVD.iso DATE.txt: Tue Jan 19 23:55:15 CET 2016" in the rpm package field, but put it in the comment where you report ;-) For traditional isos, you can put "drakx-installer-stage2" in the rpm package field. Thierry will reassign to the real culprit, if needed :-)

(In reply to Marja van Waes from comment #1) > > When you write: "Install only LXDE or Cinnamon DE", does that mean that the > problem does _not_ exist with other DEs, or that you _only_ tested those two > DEs ? my test procedure: create optical of test.iso single DE install of smallest DE [ lxde + cinnamon] CSM + UEFI if req create USB of test .iso. Single DE install of next 2 DE [ mate + xfce ] CSM + UEFI if req Net_installer of local HDD.iso Plasma5 CSM + UEFI if req Generally, I will only install a single DE per test on real hardware. This means 5 or 6 single DE installs per .iso. If an issue is found in LXDE - always the first test, then I will look for it on the next DE test - always Cinnamon. If found there, I will create the bug report. If the issue is not found in other DE of that .iso, but the next .iso I try to create report. I try to remember to add other DEs as I go, however, sometimes events prevent further testing of a particular .iso However, if stated that it occurs in a particular DE, then I have found this to be the case. I expect also that I_do_not_own_the_bug_report and other testers are free to advise valid or invalid for other DE.I try to keep all valid reports on pad/DE (sorry for rant) > > Btw, please do not put > "Mageia-6-dev1-i586-DVD.iso DATE.txt: Tue Jan 19 23:55:15 CET 2016" in the > rpm package field, but put it in the comment where you report ;-) ok- try to remember > > For traditional isos, you can put "drakx-installer-stage2" in the rpm > package field. > > Thierry will reassign to the real culprit, if needed :-)
also valid for mate and xfce DE and as currently testing: Mageia-6-dev1-LiveDVD-PLASMA5-i586-DVD.iso DATE.txt: Sun Jan 17 19:30:00 CET 2016 md5sum: c55b453fca003f45998d455361cb4fea sha1sum: 092a36a0956b9345c9e4dbd066d6bfc4c7b6eea2 is also valid

You didn't attach the files I asked for, but it is almost certain that this is a dup of bug 17091, anyway, so I'll just close this one as duplicate, and set that one to version cauldron and MGA5TOO *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 17091 ***
