Description andry yosua 2013-04-28 14:01:44 CEST
i'm using mageia cauldron

when i tried to configure my X server from mageia control centre
and choose sis 670/671 driver, it tells me
no packaged name x11-driver-video-sismedia

this is from lspci
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 771/671 PCIE VGA Display Adapter (rev 10)

i have my experience from distro hopping and the right driver for my video is sisimedia,

can you guys add it on mageia cauldron repo

Comment 3 Thierry Vignaud 2013-04-28 14:14:43 CEST
we would need to alter ldetect-lst not to suggest sisimedia driver
Comment 4 andry yosua 2013-04-28 14:18:00 CEST
it's say "x11-driver-video-sisimedia (actually not tried)"
is there really nothing that can be done?
Comment 5 Anssi Hannula 2013-04-28 14:47:32 CEST
I've provided a test build with archlinux patches to andry and he is testing it now.
